Travel highlights
Exploring the world is one of my greatest passions. I have been fortunate enough to have seen many places and meet some interesting people from many walks of life. My travel highlights are outlined below.

The USA – all contiguous states, all the top National Parks, cities and schools
As I say to many people, the best way to learn about the USA is to go there and learn about it in person. I love the USA. Camping in and exploring over a dozen National Parks including Yosemite, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Zion, Arches, Olympic, Sequoia, Grand Teton, Bryce, Joshua Tree, Canyonland, Badlands, Big Bend Redwood, Mesa Verde, and many others. I have through all contiguous USA states by land, and visited all of the 40st largest cities (and most of the top 100 cities by population) across the USA, as well as all of the Ivy league schools. The USA is a remarkably large and diverse country. Click below for my travel blogs.

Central and South America – deep and wide
I traveling from Mexico, through the Caribbean all the way down to Patagonia by land, as well as a few additional legs and loops. This is probably my favourite part of the world to backpack through. The diversity in landscapes here is unmatched. In a single day it is possible to go from a pristine Caribbean beach to glaciated peaks, then cross over into the largest jungle in the world. Then there is a plethora of ancient civilizations to explore, and the energy of the local people. It really has to be seen to be believed. I’ve taken on an unofficial role as a travel ambassador for Peru and Chile.

India – a haven for backpackers … and cricket!
Following the Australia Cricket team breaking the ‘final frontier’ in the mid 2000’s, and backpacking through many of the countries states. From the southern tip of Kanyakamurai, up to the foothills of the Himalayas at Rishikesh and Dharamsala. India is another haven for backpackers. A great way to see an ancient country with some ancient traditions, remarkable natural beauty that is quickly adapting to the modern world. Click here for my travel blog on India.

Western Europe – iconic sites and accessible history
My favourite sites have been some of the iconic common tourist sites such as those in Paris, London, Rome, Barcelona and Amsterdam. I would like to explore Europe more in the future. Click here for my travel blog on Western Europe.
